Googlebutts Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Is there a way to block certain IP Addresses from accessing your site? Thanks
Guest Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Hi Gina, Yes, you can block IP addresses using the .htaccess file in the stores root. You would add this to the file: order allow, deny allow from all deny from 150.70.0.1 deny from 71.54..0.1 etc etc etc ofcourse the two IP address I used are as an example. You would enter your own in that area. This site is also useful if you want to find IP's from a particular country: http://www.countryipblocks.net/ Chris
Googlebutts Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 Right now the only thing in that file is rewrite engine on. Can I just copy and paste your info, replacing the IP's?
Guest Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Hi Gina, Yes you can, but I would also suggest this as well: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6066 Chris
