Basic SEO Problems

Hello all,

This is my first time using os commerce and I should really of played about with it more than I did before rushing into buying a template.

Anyway I'm pretty big on SEO and it seems that the basic installation of this software is really quite poor and wanted some help.

First of all I was hoping I could change the URL's from the default: xxxxxxxx.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=13 to something more like: xxxxxxxx.co.uk/car-mats/audi-a3/

However when I do searches for URL addons I can't seem to find anything that manages to do this.

Also my next issue is the page titles, it seems to me with my site that every single page title on my site i.e my category and product pages are all the same as my homepage which is pretty much search engine suicide... when creating categories there is no where for me to set the page title and what not... is there some sort of addon that allows me to set the category page and product page titles?

Sorry if these are basic questions! and I'd really appreciate any help

Thanks

Hello Jordan,

Try Jack's Header Tags SEO 3.2.3 for your page titles and his version of Chemo's Ultimate SEO URL - they work great withe search engines and Jack gives excellent follow-up in my humble opinion.
