Hi

I hope someone can assist me is there a easy way to keep your prices up to date. In other words when I list a product now in two months time the price have changed so what I have to do now is go through the whole price list and the site to make the changes.

Hope it make sense.

There are at least 5 options open to you in the add-ons area.

Thank you for the quick response. Burt can you maybe show out to me which 5 you think would work best please!

I have used 2 approaches

1) easy populate to extract my prices into an excel, and load vendor pricelist in other sheet. use named ranges and the vlookup function to find out if a product still exists and if the price has changed

2) use kettle, and ETL tool. This is a lot more complex, but way more powerfull. Though lately I have not bothered with it and reverted back to using excel as it gives me more confidence when I actually see all the changes, instead of a program figuring out what is changed and making the database updates in the background.

When i just need to change a few prices I use my 'admin specials by category' which allows to set regular and promo prices at once for items in a category and/or for a specific manufacturer.

I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support).

So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!

It really depends on how you get your new pricing. Is it an electronic method? Do you decide for yourself? Do you download from a supplier?

You have to start with the source before you can decide what to do with it.
