stickypod Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I recently realized that I have not been generating osCsid. I know I need them, but I have a problem. Years ago I started using the affiliate contrib for osC 2.2??? (can't remember how to find the version number, need help with that?) Unfortunately, the affiliate program does not properly code the links into my store (the way you have described). Is there a method for generating SIDs in the application_top.php file so all incoming links have a unique SID? That's really what I need. I can't change, nor expect to, hundreds of outside links coming directly into my store. Here's my server info: Server OS: Linux 2.6.9-42.0.10.EL Database: MySQL 5.0.91-community HTTP Server: Apache/1.3.42 (Unix) PHP/5.2.9 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.31 OpenSSL/0.9.7a PHP Version: 5.2.9 (Zend: 2.2.0) After reading all 8 pages, I'm not finding a solution. Regenerating sessions will not work for me because I use PayPal. I simply need an original session regardless of where they come from. Many thanks, Tom Anyone can buy a camera... it's what you do with it that counts! Sticky Pod www.stickypod.com
Guest Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Tom, Have you tried updating the OSC Affiliate modification with the newest OSC Affiliate contribution ? I have installed my version of the OSC Affiliate (based on the standard OSC Affiliate 2.8) many times without an issue. Chris
