Dear Friends,

I am installing oscommerce and i got this warning message. the user name and password given to the database and the same is provided at time of installation. But still i am facing this problem.

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in ...catalog\includes\functions\database.php on line 19

Unable to connect to database server!.

Please help me.

(using password: NO)

Doesn't appear that your /catalog/includes/configure.php was updated with the username/password you entered. Open it up and manually type in your username/password then try. You may need to make the same update to /catalog/admin/includes/configure.php.

I modified the configure file and now i can able to see oscommerce default page. But at the top of page i got these warning messages

Warning: The sessions directory does not exist: /tmp. Sessions will not work until this directory is created.

How to rectify these error ?

Warning: The sessions directory does not exist: /tmp. Sessions will not work until this directory is created.

What OS are you running? Regardless, at the root level of your system create the directory "tmp". Should be writable, then refresh your home page.

I am using oscommerce-2.2rc2a. I can't able to create tmp directory in (/)root level. because ftp server replied as access denied. But i made change in configure file.

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');

Now their is no warning message.

Thank you for the help.
