knifeman Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Hi, anyone knows if there's any tool for writing a product description in bold colors or highlight certain words? Thanks for all the possible contributions. Esther. html is allowed in product descriptions. So you can use bold, font colors and sizes, even do bulleted lists etc. Tim

Thanks. Esther.
Guest Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Esther, There is no 'tool' or contribution for this feature. Product Titles are not part of any of the HTML EDITOR contributions that I know of. If you want all product titles in bold, you could change the .css to make them all bold. Chris

Then just copy the html from that program into your product description box. Tim

knifeman Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 OK, sorry for my ignorance. If you don't know then you don't know. That is the purpose of the forum. Finding answers to things we don't know. Tim
npn2531 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Knifeman, my guess is that Esther is looking for the the tinymice or WYSIWYG editor in the admin>catalog > edit product, and but doesn't have it installed. I'm not familiar enough with that to offer installation advice. Oscommerce site: OSC to CSS, http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7263 -Mail Manager, http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/8120

jhande Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I have tried using FCKeditor for Product Descriptions as many people suggested it. I wasn't overly happy with the results so unistalled and back to adding my own HTML tags. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
artful Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Hi, anyone knows if there's any tool for writing a product description in bold colors or highlight certain words? Thanks for all the possible contributions. Esther. Hello Esther, A simple way is to use <b> for "bold" before the word or text that you want in bold and end it with </b>. You can also change colors by putting <FONT COLOR="green"> before the text and end with </FONT COLOR> Barbara
