site hacked, can't acccess site/catalog/ADMIN

its been a very frustrating few days. I deleted my whole site from the cpanel. I have reloaded it and ma working out the bugs from my older oscommerce version. I can not access my ADMIN panel.

 

Error: Invalid administrator login attempt.

 

Thoughts? Suggestions?

wish it were that simple. Could the hack or something with cpanel have changed the password? Is there a way to retrieve it?

If you only used the default admin login and not a .htaccess file and you still have access to phpMyAdmin you can delete the password and admin username in the database:

 

truncate table administrators;

 

Then you will have the option to insert a new admin user name and password.

 

If the hackers left a .htaccess file that messes with your login (there is a recent thread that had a problem of a legitimate redirect by .htaccess that however removed the post data so login was impossible) than who knows what they did.

 

It could also be something simple as the "action" parameter in the form (do a view source in your browser) pointing to http when you use https or vice versa (problem with the includes/configure.php)

Thanks for your help. I barley understand what you said and have little idea how to resolve it. I never figured out how to work phpmyadmin or SQL.

 

I think I will get a new shopping cart or reload this one.
