Felipe14 Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I need to restore a backup of the database of my site. i have severall backups that i have made over the days, the size of them are aprox 2mb (2,160.052 bytes) everytime i try to restore one of the newer databases i have 6 days of backups i have a error that reads : Error 500 - Internal server error An internal server error has occured! Please try again later. if i try to restore a backup from early days that is smaller i can do it. can someone give guidance on what to do? I have local copys at my machine and at the server. thanks in advance for the help

You could try an external program like Bigdump. Of course it would be informative to know when this error occurs. Before the restore, while restoring, after the restore. Did it restore or did nothing happen. Etcetera, etcetera.

I can't follow you. The backup/restore module uses the MySQL connection of the site so if there is something wrong with it you wouldn't be able to access the site at all I would think.
