I am a novice here so please dont be too technical. :) If you are running cpanel then yes the easiest way would be to use the cpanel backup routines. This will back up your entire site, mysql database, and your cpanel settings for your account. The next step of course would be to ftp the cpanel backups to some offsite storage area secured network like Amazon's S3 service for example. Then if your site goes down and the whole server goes down your backups are not on the same server running your site. You would then simply setup your new server and download the remotely stored backup and restore the backup through cpanel, which will restore everything. Virtual Merchant a.k.a.
