night owl Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Just purchased an SSL certificate from godaddy but not working properly, in mozilla I have to actually enter the website name with https for the padlock to actually show up and then it shows up with a red exclamation and message saying "contains unauthenticated content" the only external address on my page is a link to oscommerce which I don't mind being there although I can remove it from the footer but would rather not would be nice if oscommerce would secure their site to avoid this problem being godaddy is giving free SSL certificates to projects like this one, in IE the padlock does not show up at all regardless if I put the s in the http or not I do however get two messages though when I place the S in http the first one says "You are about to view pages over a secure connection any information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed by anyone else on the web" and after clicking ok the second message says "This page contains both secure and non secure items Do you want to display the non secure items? as I said before the only non secure item I can find in the page is a link back to oscommerce site. Anyone have any idea on how I can fix this problem seems like from a customer standpoint I could do better without the SSL showing a red exclamation warning. I also have images in the page that are not links however I cannot imagine that if I had a thousand images that I would have to adjust the coding for each image to make this work right although I read some thing to that effect in the documentation. Thanks in advance by the way my website is www.jacksonvillemart.com It's easy to do evil but a challenge to do good can you handle the challenge Orin (2010)
