g_p_java Posted July 27, 2010 Share Posted July 27, 2010 Hello, i would like to test oscommerce on my local pc first and then install it on the server. I have already installed php,mysql and apache on my pc and they work fine. 1.i have exracted the zip file for 2.2a version in a folder called shop 2. i typed in the browser localhost/shop/catalog and it directed me to the following page http://localhost/shop/catalog/install/index.php 3. i typed database server : localhost username: test password: **** database name: test_db (that test_db consists of no tables, is that ok???) in the next step i have to type the www address and the web root directory, i don't know what i shall type there... does anybody know what i shall type there or are there any instructions for installing the oscommerce locally on a computer??
