Questions related to tags, editor and version 3 manual

Hello,

i'm new at oscommerce,i have read the manual for the version 2.2 and i would like to ask some questions.

I noticed that in version 2.2 the editor supports html tags, that means that the administrators shall use

tags such as <b></b> <ul><li></li></ul> etc.

1. Does version 3.0 have an editor which has buttons for Bold, fonts, sizes like the editor we are using here in the forums??

2. Usually in many e-shops we see tags after a product (tags such as a sequence of words which link to a particular category of products). As i read in the manual, the version 2.2 doesn't support such tags. Does version 3.0 support these particular tags??

3. Is there any manual for 3.0 version cause i couldn't find any.

I would be glad if sm could answer these questions for me

Thanks, in advance

GP,

V3.0 is an ALPHA release and should not be used as a product store. There are MANY changes that will be made with the next release and the current release would need a skilled PHP programmer to make it production ready. There are little to no real contributions available for 3.0 yet, and no manual because with so many changes on the horizon it makes no sense to create contributions for it yet.

I suggest you stick to V2.2 RC2a for now.

Thank you very much for your reply.

as far as the editor is concerned i was thinking if sm could edit the code and add another editor(e.g. tiny mce).

Has anybody of the users added a different editor and did it work??

Thanks, in advance

GP,

if you check the contributions for V3.x you will find one for Tinymc, however.......this will change again with the next release because of pending changes.
