blr044 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Old store was BRS Gift Shop. I shut that site down and got a new domain name with a different host. I installed RC2a onto the host server and created a new database and ran the install using the new DB settings. Then from there I added a few categories and products to get started and make sure all was working properly. But when I click any category, this is what I see when viewing the source code: <title>Auto - Buy from Brs Gift Shop</title><meta name="description" content="Auto."> <meta name="keywords" content="auto"> Should be GreatDiscounts4u. Have checked both configure files, and they as correct. Even looked into the languages files and also around in the DB. So am asking if any place else I can look so that I can correct this. Thank you. Bennett
MrPhil Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Did you import anything from the old store's database? You shouldn't get anything from the old store if the code, domain, and database are all new. Scan your files for the Buy from Brs Gift Shop string in PHP files you brought over from the old site. If it's not there, it must be in the database content that you brought over from the old site. Check the "configuration" table under "Store Name".
blr044 Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 I found two files related to IP trap that referred to to the old domain name. They have been corrected now. The store name is correct and nothing else that points to old domain after doing the scan. But am not really sure, but I think i uploaded the products from old DB. I only have twenty products added to this store. Because of the small number of products, would it be best to TRUNCATE (empty) tables via phpmyadmin? And if this is done should that correct the Meta Tags for each product? PS: or just run the backup DB that was created when new store was created. Bennett
