andes1 Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 hello, long time without visiting oscommerce does somebody know about the integration of facebook connect and oscommerce?... or google login like in his store http://www.google-store.com/ if not, please let me know desired features in order to start the coding and creation on this addon.
web-project Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 or google login like in his storehttp://www.google-store.com/ this is Google store which is corporate Google look and trademark of Google! You can simply use someone else corporate design! To create connection/link to Facebook on your pages, do a search in Add-Ons part of this website! Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
andes1 Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 this is Google store which is corporate Google look and trademark of Google! You can simply use someone else corporate design! I don't understand your point... To create connection/link to Facebook on your pages, do a search in Add-Ons part of this website! ok i did it... that lead me to a commercial add that cost $400.... other ideas there?
Tomcat Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 other ideas there? Hi there, I'm desperately looking for an addon to add FB connect to my existing Osc site. There's not much ready made out there and my coding skills don't allow me to follow this tutorial by an Italian guy I recently found. What I'm looking for at this stage is just the ability to register to the website during the checking out using the FB credentials and therefore avoiding the customer wasting time with yet another registration process... I haven't thought of other implications of such kind of registration yet. I guess all customers' data will be stored in mysql exactly same way as a normal registration doesn't it? Outside links in signatures are not allowed!
lindsayanng Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I think its a great idea.. I might work on this a little in the next coming month.. I found a bunch better tutorial My link I love nettuts.. lindsayanng Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 ive been working on it for a few days but had to put it aside for now.. At the moment i have the canvas page and the FBML info/application key and id in the script.. The button (facebook connect) is generated by the script and there where you see the login info.. the only issue is creating a new user in the DB using facebook info.. Working on it, could def. use some help though A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP. RainDance Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I just had facebook added to my site today. It's one of those boxes where some one can "like" your business. And it shows how many fans you have, you can even have it show posts on your FB page. If you have a FB business page you just create the banner and copy the code fb gives you and add it to your site.
lindsayanng Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 RainDance.. that is an entirely different thing than using FaceBook Connect.. Adding a "like" button is super easy A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP. My time is valuable, unless i ask you to PM me, please dont. Truebe Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Hello, this post looks similar to what I'm trying to accomplish. Before I go out and make the following updates can somebody direct me to an addon that performs the following changes: Auto account registration when registering account, provide the user an option to login to facebook and pull over most of their information change address information collection to the shipping page. this way a customer will simply login to facebook account to complete the ENTIRE website registration process Allow an account with the website to sync with facebook If a user is logged in with faceook and also has the website account, the user will be automatically logged in when navigating to website Purchasing products Purchase will write to the customers wall Purchase will also create a new fb status update purchase will also add items to website fb application

Littlelinda Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Anyone know of an super easy way to add the facebook "Like Button " to my website with easy step by step tutorials? I am new at this and am trying to attempt to do this on my own ...thanks
Guest Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I have a "Follow Us on Facebook" box I made which just uses the code from the Facebook banner. It is installed just like any other box module. I have it just below the "Share Product" box. I thought about uploading it as an add-on, but I figured someone else would have made a better one by now. I guess if people actually want it I can post it. Follow the link to my store in my signature and click on any product to see it.
