Probably you allowed caching but never changed the tmp directory to a directory inside of your own web space. And now someone else on that server also set caching to true and uses the same directory resulting in you using the cache file of the other shop. Use a full file path when you specifiy that (not /temp/ e.g. but the complete path on the server as you use in configure.php for some settings).
