Newbie with couple questions.

Hello

I am real new to this software and ecommerce in general i been reading a lot and installed oscommerce. I have seen live stores with it running and totally modified from standard install. Where is there a place to download xtra modules or templates and so on. Or how are you editing the existing style to be so different?

The contributions section of this web site is loaded with add-ons and features that can give your site a new look. There are a number of contributions so you will want to take a carefull look. If you cant find it there run a search in the forums , maybe somebody has already solved the problem.

OSC can be TOTALLLLY customized to whatever you want becasue all of the PHP is easily attached to other PHP code or HTML, Javascript events.

 

I am currently doing a site that is using FLASH as the front end for a kiosk system designed to be used with a touch screen and a receipt printer, You want flexibility OSC has it.

 

The problem :D is that is can be almost overwhelmingy at first. Thats why this forum is a great place to get ideas and solve each others problems.

While we're on the topic (newbies and add ons / modules)

 

This newbie would love to hear some suggestions as to which 'modules' are must haves

 

I'm just starting to build a site &

I'd love to get all the 'must have' mods installed before I go live.

There's so many out there, I'm not even sure where to start!

 

Any reccomendations... anyone?
