demon2003
Hello, I am having a problem with trying to sign in through https with netscape or mozilla. It simply wipes the form clean and won't let you create a new account or log in. The login through https works fine for IE though.. I've noticed a couple other posts about this but can't seem to find a solution other than disabling https which is really not a good thing.. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks...
toolcrazy
Those problems were supposed to be fixed with the latest release of Mozy and Netscape. What versions are using. I use Mozilla exscusively and have had no problems with HTTPS. Steve -------------------------
demon2003
I've encountered this problem with the latest versions of netscape and mozilla. Netscape 7 and mozilla 1.3 (I think) :? I don't think it has to do with the browser, I'm fairly sure it's related to the script itself and the way it passes the data tot he browser. What I'd like to know is how to enable the https but not use https for user regisration and logins.. (like I mentioned before I just disabled the https cuz the store uses only paypal for payments). Thanks
toolcrazy
I'm not using https at this time. I don't think it is necessary with PayPal. I don't think there is any reason to encrypt user registration. The problem probably has something to do with sessions, I've read that there has been a problem passing SID's from http to https, especially with Ian?s SID killer and between 2 different URL?s. Maybe the Netscape products compound the problem. I haven?t come across the problem in these forums yet. And as I have stated before, I personally haven?t run across it either. Guest
I have run into problems with NS7 and HTTPS. After much research I found that it has a problem using HTTP 1.1 (which is the default setting). Click on Edit>Preferences>Advanced>HTTP Networking. Change the setting from HTTP 1.1 to HTTP 1.0 and see if you still have problems.
toolcrazy
mmm, that is strange, becuase IE uses just 1.1 maybe it is the version that netscape is using. Steve -------------------------
heliosquare
Just for closure's sake, changing the settings from 1.1 to 1.0 in Netscape v7 does in fact solve this problem. Thanks birdbrain...at least now we'll have something to tell customers when they call... Do you ship UPS? Give your customers order tracking without leaving your site. Track multi-package shipments.
