rescuestat Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 hello i have a strange problem, in internet explorer takes too much to load images for my oscommerce and i don't know why, but after they are in cache loads ok, but first time takes too much please need help page is bestsellertv . ro Hi, You pretty much answered your own question...you have too many images and they are too large. Consider reducing the number/size/quality of your images to improve your page load speed. The landing page you gave is almost 1.6MB, this is entirely too big even for a customer on an fast DSL. A good target to aim for is going to be less than 300K, some may even say this is too much. I personally try to stay below 200K. A good website to run your webpages against is http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ and enter whatever page you are interested in checking. This will not only give you very precise statistics on your page but will also offer advise on how to improve your webpage load times. Frank
