Function eregi()

Hi

I am getting the following problem being reported at the top of the store front page.

Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in C:\wamp\www\shop\includes\classes\language.php on line 87

It has repeated itself about eight times.

The following warning comes up in pink, has this any thing to do with it? How can I fix this.

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: C:/wamp/www/shop/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

I am running wamp on win Vista.

Thanks :)

this is a issue with new version of PHP, as it doesn't support old code. The solution to fix this issue is available on this forum, simply search for it.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

First problem: Click here

Second problem: Use Windowz explorer and make the file "read-only" (I assume that works in Vista like it does in XP)

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
