alisonsilbert Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Hi, A client of mine wants to upgrade an OSCommerce website we put together for him back in 2003. he wants to improve the ability of the search engine in the website. Where do I look for this code and how do I configure it to start recognizing key terms so that matching products show up in the search (e.g. 1000ul pipet tips is a search term that should return > 30 products. at this point the only way to get at a specific 1000ul pipet tip is to enter the exact catalog # into the search box). Thanks. Alison

Jack_mcs Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 The default search box only searches the titles. You need to apply a change to it to have it search the descriptions too (search the forums for how to search decriptions). You can also use the Search Site Plus (see My Addons), though that may be overkill for what you need.
