gddevey1012 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Hi guys I have had an issue with my shop site that i am currently working on for a friend there has been an attack and now every time that i click top it directs me to another site that has nothing to do with me trying to force the user to install some antivirus software. I have no idea as to how this could have happened and more to the point i cannot identify the problem to cure it. Any ideas would be appreciated it only seems to do it when i click Top and nowhere else. Gareth
Guest Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 We recommend to you to contact your hosting company and they will go remove for free all the virus from your source. After this change your: - ftp password - store admin password - change you store.com/admin folder for something else store.com/admin-admin

web-project Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 with such a small area of the site effected would it be possible for someone to point me in the right direction so i can remove the code manually ? ask provider to provide you with older backup, personally I do hosting service (no advertisement, just example) and I know that every webhost can provide within 1 week or 1 month backup file for every account on their server. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
shardayyy Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I host on powweb.com and my site has been hacked 3 times in the last month and a half. After the 2nd time, I changed all the hosting admin control panel password, the ftp password, disabled the ftp access and also changed the database password. Not sure how they are getting in. I was told by the hosting company that it might be a security vulnerability with OSCommerce. I have been hosting this site for the last 2 years without any problems. Are there any security vulnerabilities out there that am not aware of? Am running osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC2a, PHP Version 5.2.12
