Power SEO URLs for OsCommerce?

Dear All,

 

Forgive me if i am posting this in the wrong section or am violating any rule. But i just wanted to know whether anyone here has heard of or tried Power SEO URLs for OsCommerce?

 

 

I run an OsCommerce 2.2 based ECommerce website and the above link might have all the answers to my SEO woes. I want to know whether this software or addon is better and more powerful than the following OScommerce addon:

 

1. Header Tags SEO

2. Custom Meta Tags

3. SEO URLs.

 

I have SEO URLs installed but can't find anyone to install Header Tags and Custom Meta Tags for me so am considering going for the more expensive option but because they will install it also so i am considering it. If however, its a scam or fraud or if anyone has had a bad experience with them, please share.

Header Tags SEO and Custom Meta Tags (or any two meta tags contributions that handle meta tags) shouldn't be installed together. I'm not familiar with that script but I imagine it is encrypted, which means you don't have any control over what it does, other than whatever options it offers, and can't know what is hidden in the code. There's no reason to think anything is hidden in the code but with todays security problems, I sure would want to be sure of such a thing. I sent you a PM regarding installation.

Lastly, will these 2 addons dramatically improve my website's rankings or will just improve them a tad bit. I noticed that installing SEO URLs did improve my website ranking but my site is still ranked low so does this provide a good solution for SEO especially considering the fact that my website caters only to my country and i need good SEO for my country only

If you install Header Tags SEO it will take care of unique titles and meta descriptions amongst other things incl category descriptions. Then you just need SEO URLs. Note that SEO URLs on it's own is not going to drive lots of traffic to your site. There's alot more to SEO than just installing one or two contributions. Recommend you take the time now to read up on the guidelines Google gives for SEO under webmaster tools, and also see what people are discussing on SEO forums.

At this point, FWR Medias SEO add-ons are the best that there are for ease of installation and general use.

You can't install them both (any two) because they alter, in part, the same code. If both are installed, you will lose benefits of just having one installed. Header Tags SEO is, by far, better than any of the other meta tags contributions since the importance of meta tags has dropped some over the years and only Header Tags SEO goes beyond those. If you are looking for an easy installation though, then you should go with one of the other meta tags contributions. Any of them is better than not having one at all though.

I'm not familiar with the Custom Meta Tags contribution so I can't comment on how much benefit will come from it but Header Tags SEO has shown consistently that it will improve a shops position for the various category and product pages. But, as mentioned by Hotclutch, SEO'ing a shop goes beyond just installing a contribution or two. I suggest installing Header Tags SEO and Ultimate SEO v 2.2d and waiting a month or so to see how it affects your shop. Then move on to other SEO-type contributions to continue the SEO-ing of your shop.

seo urls won't improve your seo rankings. Due to seomoz research, keywords in the url have the importance value of 38%.

 

I suggest you generate quality backlinks to be in the top ;)
