Coastalfurn Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I am trying to set up my friend's site and I am in over my head. I have figured out how to do almost everything and after like a year of promising her I would do this I am SO close. But I have just a few things I can't figure out. Please, if you know the answers can you help me out? First and foremost, she doesn't actually want a shopping cart. Is there an easy way to disable it, or if not, an easy way to hid prices on the products? I have searched and searched and asked before with no answer. Second, I messed something up. There are little grey or white boxes in the green on her site: See here: http://coastalfurnitureencinitas.com/index.php How can I fix that? And third-anyway to just delete that whole top header thing that shows the cart content and products and all that? (The green one.) If I could figure out those three things she would be up and running but I am hitting a wall. Please help!
Songman Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Are you using STS? If so, go into your STS module. Select 'Default' and Edit. The last option says 'Use template for infoboxes'. Make that True and the little boxes in the green should go away. There is an Add-on that allows you to make it so items can't be added to the cart. That may be the way to go. Maybe someone else will have an idea. I can't tell you the Add-on right now because I am not home. If no one gets to it first I will try to find it when I am home.
Coastalfurn Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 Ugh, I don't even know what STS is. She had someone else install it and obviously should have had that person do the rest of this too.
Songman Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 It's not that difficult. Well, this part isn't anyway! haha... Once you log in to the Admin section, look for Modules. Under Modules, look for STS. If you have it, click it. Then follow the instructions from above about editing the Default section. BTW - STS stands for Simple Template System. It is an add-on that lets you control the look of your store with HTML and CSS instead of totally relying on PHP.
