peshi Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 cant get rid of Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/fhlinux010/s/shop.phhomes.co.uk/user/htdocs/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Tried changing the permissions on both configuration.php files to read only. What can I do?

Hi I had the same problem. I was advised to change the file permissions using the file manager, not ftp (wouldn't change using ftp anyway). Try using your c-panel file manager. :)
MrPhil Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 What are the current permissions, and what are you trying to change them to? 644 will sometimes work, unless PHP and/or Apache are running as "owner", in which case 444 should do the trick. As mentioned, FTP clients are often not permitted to change permissions, so try the hosting system's file manager.
