If it is not, you can reload it either from a backup up or from your original installation. Frank
koporso Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 Thanks, Frank for your time and advice. I have sorted it out in the meanwhile exactly along the lines you have suggested. Strangely I am up againt another issue. I get the error message on top of the page: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: I have checked the forum and everyone seems to suuggest that the two config files need to be chnaged to read only, which I did, but I still get the error. I'll continue hunting for a solution, but if you had any ideas, I would appreciate if you shared them with me. Cheers Tamas

Hi, Can you not log in using your host admin inerface? If you can, then you will be able to modify your files there, once you have identified the ones that need changing/reinstalling, etc.

Herr Manneling Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 The browser only shows a search page, I'm with 000webhost, in the navigation bar you can read this: "http://err.000webhost.com/" and that´s it.
koporso Posted June 24, 2010 Author Posted June 24, 2010 Well, I can't say I'm a real expert, but tis is what I would do. First, search the forum for possible soutions, then I would contact my SP (host) to see if they had any ideas, then I would reinstall osCommerce from scratch. I myself have run into several minor issues, reinstalled the software and just by reinstalling it three times I became more aware of how the software was set up, which heled me figure out solutions for the minor hiccups that were to follow. Best of luck Tamas The browser only shows a search page, I'm with 000webhost, in the navigation bar you can read this: "http://err.000webhost.com/" and that´s it.
