Downloadable Products - how to add to website

Hi there,

 

I'm trying to add downloadable products to my website through the 'new product' page. There doesn't seem to be a place to upload my file.

 

Can someone please guide me through the process to get it to work.

Tomek,

 

You create the downloadable product as you would any other product. Then go to product attributes and enter the file name of the downloadable product. Use your FTP program to upload that file to the /downloads/ directory

Serious Newbie question - where are the product attributes? Do you mean in the admin catalog edit product menu?

You will find product attributes in the admin under catalog, should be the second on the list.

-Sorry - found it. Don't you hate it when people ask obvious questions? If you are like I was and looking for product attributes, go into the admin, click on catalog, and then it is listed under "products attributes." Yup - it was really hard to find!

Sometimes the answer to our questions are right in front of us but it takes someone else to point them out.
