geekgirl
So im having big problems here :( My site is technically secure (add an "s" to http on any page and voila, secure!) So from the dude that set it up from me today he said this should work. You go to my store under http and then whenever you click on anything like login, checkout etc (anything that needs to be secure) the web will become https and have the lock. Well now lock shows up unless you manually add an "s" to the http in the url. What to do?? Some background info - my domain server people created me a "secure" directory bin and told me to put all my "public" files in there (so my whole store directory with all its files is in there) So i have my files all in the secure and all in the public. The ones in secure are where the configure.php files were edited (with the instructions found on here). Now the ones in public are just how they looked before. Ive tried everything - deleting the "public" store (so only the "secure" one remains) - makes the store go missing. Tried editing the configure.php philes in "secure" and "public" (configured the same way) but doing that gave me an error message at the top of my pages. SO what do i do?!?! Im so lost! This company said they fixed it and alas, i do not see any fix! Please help me make the necessary changes so people can go into checkout, login, etc. securely so my shop will go up tonight! germ
SSL Implementation Help thread If you can't find what you need at the link above you'll have to post (or PM me) the URL of your store if you want any more help from me. I can't fix it if I don't know for sure what's broke. And I can't tell exactly what's broke without looking at it myself. :) If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
