Digistore help.... getting desperate

k9essentials

Hi

Thanks in advance for any help offered

I have created a store using Digistore. I get errors when I point my domain name to it.

The domain is www.k9essentials.co.nz which is currently pointed at the old and rather ugly site. As soon as I point it to the folder where my store is I get the errors.

current site is in /k9essentials

new site is in /k9essentials/store

The new site was installed by Godaddy on /k9essentials/store and that is where I have worked on it with no problems.

I am able to successfully point www.naturaldoghealth.info to the new site and it works fine.

I can't work it out. Any ideas gratefully appreciated.

I thought it could be due to www.k9essentials.co.nz being registered in NZ not through godaddy and is hosted on my godaddy account using their offsite DNS but I tried changing another of my domain names that is registered in NZ and it works fine. That domain name is www.vouchersouth.co.nz and I have left it online pointing to k9essentials for now.

I am relatively inexperienced so hopefully I have explained it well enough.

Thanks again

karl,

Point your domain name to Godaddy's name servers. Then log into godaddy hosting and use the domain controller to select the alias folder the store is in. Godaddy will automatically direct the point to that alias folder.

Hi

That is exactly what I was doing. I phoned Goddaddy and they advised me it should work but for some reason it wasn't so to put a 301 permanent redirect on which has worked.

Thanks for your help
