Hi

I have done an absolutely stupid thing ( an extremely senior moment).

I deleted the Admin folder in oscommerce. Does anyone know if there's any way to recover this or am I up the creek without a paddle.

Many thanks

I assume you have no local backup?

Possible you can contact your host and see if they have a backup on file for you. If not....

The next question would be did you have any modifications to your shop?

If no modifications to the admin you can just download the Oscommerce module then re-upload the admin section (*note you'll need to change your configure.php file to match your settings) and follow security protocols to deal with the Filemanger.php file.

If you have mods, I think you'd have to upload the a fresh copy and go through you mods and start re-doing the admin side.

Unless somebody else has better ideas.

Ouch!

Hi

Thanks for that. However where would I download the admin module from. Probably a stupid question. So far I haven't any mods.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Ask your webhost if they have a backup of your site prior to the deletion of your admin folder.

If not, download it here >> http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads

... and extract the admin folder.

I grandpa,

I didn't have any issues viewing the website, I did have an issue with the login page but that looks like it is a bad link.

What page are you getting the error, and are you still getting it?

Hi Guys

All done. The permissions weren't quite right.
