CJerome Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Hi I have a current site that uses only paypal shopping cart. I am in the process of taking my business to the next level and will be moving to osCommerce in the coming month. I have to pick an accounting software to use for my business, I use a mac and would prefer to use AccountEdge by Acclivity (formerly MYOB) over QuickBooks Mac. My only hesitation is that I am not sure if AccountEdge will integrate with osCommerce. I have done a lot of searching and found that an older version may have but have not received any confirmation. Can anyone share their experience? Also I will be using Endicia for mac, I think there is a module for this? Best Regards Jerome
CJerome Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 Lets bump this up, there must be someone who has tried this
NodsDorf Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Never used or heard of AccountEdge myself. I don't much care for QuickBooks either as is severally limiting for stores with thousands of customers and orders. After spending some cash on a quick books important pro feature I found that quick books pro limits you to like 20k records. Would have to upgrade to Enterprise to get a million records but that cost some serious cash, and would only be a minor fix. What we ended up doing was listing 4 customers for each month, 1, Delivered, 2 refunded, 3 taxable, 4 chargeback basically turning hundreds of monthly sales into 4 entries for each month. Sorry little off topic there, hopefully somebody else maybe able to help.
CJerome Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 Here is the accountedge site, I have read several reviews and many on the Mac like it more than quickbooks --> See Here Thanks for the suggestion to do the accounting in this way, I was talking with a friend who runs a site and they said the same thing. I guess more important than importing every transaction is having integration of the shipping with oscommerce. Still looking for someone who may have used accountedge on mac. Jerome
