Yslow & PHPSpeedy

Hello

 

I have run YSlow on my store and have managed to identify a number of problems. I have been able to fix most of them, however, I have a grade F on "Make fewer HTTP requests"

This is what I have at present:

This page has 7 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one.

This page has 5 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.

This page has 15 external background images. Try combining them with CSS sprites.

 

I was looking around the net for an easy way to fix this and stumbled across PHPSpeedy, which looks like a very cool script.

Downloaded it, installed it. When I implemented it in OSC (STS Tempalte file) it was giving me errors, no matter where I place its finish code.

 

Can anyone help me get PHPSpeedy working properly or help me improve from an F? :(
