bowen Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 hi guys. i have changed the image path to /images/products/ so i can keep the images for products all in one place instead of intermingled with others.... i usually load them in via ftp and add products by easypopulate. but occasionaly my business partner adds products manually via admin, but the images are not going into the right place and hence are not being found in the catalog as the paths are different. I have searched in admin and tried to find where it defines the path to save the product images and have tried to change the configure.php in admin as well but to no avail. can anyone point me in the right direction please as i havent a clue where else to look. many thanks in advance.
bowen Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 hi, i'm, bumping this as i havent had any joy yet... i use easy populate to upload products to the site. i have change DIR_WS_IMAGES to DIR_WS_PRODUCTS so that i can keep the product images all in one place so they can be uploaded via ftp and easily managed (catalog/images/products). The problem i am having is when we add just 1 or 2 products we use the admin area rather that EP, but when we use the admin area its not placing the images in the right folder, so when we look on the site it's not showing the product image as its looking in the new directory. could anyone please advise how i can get the images into the right folder when uploaded via the admin panel?? any comments or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks
jonasgrumby Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Seems the easier way to keep them all in one place would be to FTP them to where OSC expects them to be. I don't see the advantage of creating a different folder and then modifying OSC. Maybe I don't know the whole situation but that's my first impression.

acer88 Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Did you ever find a solution to your question? I would like to do the same to organize and manage product images better...
