First thing I would do is back up your existing site, then delete everything, leaving only your existing catalog directory. Just so you are assured of no conflicts.

Backup your catalog directory.

Then copy the contents of your catalog directory now into the root directory. (don't copy the directory itself, just the contents which include all the sub directories.) If your cPanel or whatever interface you have will allow, use the move command.

Then make the necessary edits to your configure.php files.

Test, then delete your old catalog directory (or if you moved the files you need not delete anything.)

That should do it, except for the occasional contribution that does not read the configure.php file.

Thanks for that.

I don't see an existing catalogue in the current web site (www.kidzpatch.co.nz its a pretty simple site) I do have a copy of the site on my computer.I'm new at all this oscommerce

What is the best way to backup the catalogue directory. When I look at the Cpanel>File Manager I have oscommerce under (sub directory).store_V_2. I presume somehow I need to back this up or am I barking up the wrong tree. The cpanel does allow for "Move File".

What would be the edits to the configure file.

Luckily I don't have any contributions.

I'm starting to think that maybe this might be a "job" for an expert.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards

There is nothing wrong with your site. Your store DOES appear in the root directory already. It may be there because your domain root is pointing to that sub directory or you have some htaccess redirect going on. In any event I see nothing to do...

Hi

What Im trying to achieve is that the url for the store will be www.kidzpatch.co.nz at the moment its www.kidzpatch.co.nz/store_V_2. There may be an easy way to achieve this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much
