atahir Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Hello I am currently designing a website for a pharmacy and have pretty much designed it using html on my own. Of course i also need certain features like shopping cart, account log in, etc so i downloaded oscommerce. I know it is customisable in the sense that you can change the code and put your own in, but my question is this: Say i have my index page (html), and the only php things i really need on there are account login, shopping cart and buy now features. Now what i did this morning: 1: opened account.php 2: saved the code just in case 3: cleared the code for account.php 4: copied the code from my index.html and pasted it into account.php (to get the basic design) 5: added back the account.php code into where i thought it would go Actually, it didn't turn out too bad, just that there were some things there that i didn't need (side columns, basket, etc) Sorry if this is really confusing, but what i'm trying to find out is...is this ok, the way i am trying to do it or am i fighting a losing battle here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Aisha
