Categories Text Missing

Someone help!

Some categories are missing from the categories box. The ones that are missing are the ones that I just tried to add.Can someone please tell me how to fix this as I am really new to this.

I too have the same problem. Sometimes the sub categories show up and sometime they do not. Anybody have a fix for this?

Try checking Admin-->Configuration-->Cache. Set use cache to false.

Wow. Thanks that worked. I flushed the cache directory and turned cache back on. Whats the deal with the cache? Is it a good thing or bad?

The cache can be a good thing. Saves on executing query strings. You just need to keep an eye on it when you make changes such as adding or deleting a category.
