binabadan Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Malaysian addresses uses '/' (slash) in street address. However during checkout or after the account creation, the 'slash' disappears and gives wrong impression on the address. Example of Malaysian address: No 34 Street 47/7A Kenny Park xxxxx Kuala Lumpur Malaysia When customers checks out, the address appear as No 34 Street 477A. Note the missing '/'. This has caused courier companies to return the packages as they can't find the right address. Can someone please let me know what to do? Thanks. Dave
Guest Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Dave, Perhaps you have made some changes to your site which is causing the problem. I just tested on a new install.. created an account using the address you show in your post and checked it in admin and the / remains in the customer information. Created an order as the customer and the / appears everywhere the address appears. In the customer's account and on the order itself. - Hal

I notice that customers who created account before major changes did have / in their address. Any recommendation on what I can do to fix this problem? Thanks. Dave
