mackel Posted May 16, 2010 Share Posted May 16, 2010 Hi there We are new to these and have installed the RC2 version from the "Site Software" (CPanel) provided by the Webhost. Installation went through sucessfully by a simple click and we can accessed the admin page, however when we click the options on the left hand side, it asked us to log in again, but it then came back to the main page after password entered. Would there be someone who can assist us please? Also is there any step by step installation guide available? as we don't know which files/folder's permissions need to be changed for security reason. Guest Posted May 16, 2010 Share Posted May 16, 2010 Mac, You may want to download the V2.2 RC2a from this site to ensure you are using the latest version of OSC before you start working on your site. Once you have it downloaded you will need to update it and then add security patches to it before adding your catalog items and customizing the layout. I only suggest this because Hosting companies usually have outdated versions that contain the kind of problems you are currently experiencing.
