pastelblack
I'm new to oscommerce. I'm working on a site where proceeds go to various charities, and I need a page for each charity where customers would be redirected to after a purchase, so that they can leave comments for that charity. So there would ideally be a page for each charity, with a section at the bottom for buyer/donor comments. These comments would need to be moderated by the site admin before being posted. Is there an add-on that could allow public comments on non-product pages? Or would I need to link to an external blog? Any other ideas? Thanks for the help!!! Guest
Kirsten, You can easily create a page for the various charities to display customer testimonials (comments). However the uploading of the comments is more difficult. I suppose you could modify Customer Testimonials and manually add the comments to the individual charity pages. Customer Testimonials can be found here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5477 Chris
♥FWR Media
Any reason why you couldn't just reword the standard order comments so that users new they were making a "charity comment" .. this way you'd just need to capture the charity and redirect to a charity specific page. That's an idea... although I'm wondering if that might be a few too many steps for the admin who is going to be managing the site. :-/ She's reasonably tech savvy, but I think she's looking for something a little more streamlined/simple. Pardon my lack of programming knowledge (I'm new to php...hoping I'm not biting off more than I can chew), but would you mind explaining in a bit more detail? Failing this you will have to enter the world of coding to modify or create a satisfactory comment input/retrieval system.
