Just wondering, Its becoming a nightmare, finding answers, getting answers and the same questions asked over and over again.

Maybe, ask newbys to read the os manual first.

People generally don't bother searching the Forum before posting. If the search link was made a lot more prominent it would help...

I disagree. I have tried several searches that produced so many false positives I was overwhelmed. When you get 1200 possibles you tend to give up. The real solution is to take the MS1 and develop a deep FAQ structure. Right now the FAQ listings are weak.

If you have the time you can help by going through the more popular listings and create a FAQ page that has some meat.

What do you think?

Do you? I refine my search and try again, and again etc. 95% of the time you'll find what you are looking for.

If I can't find what I'm after I'll try to solve the problem myself, and then if I can't I'll post on the Forum for help...

The FAQ needs a lotta stuff adding to it, without a doubt. A good idea would be for the Core Team to allow user input to the FAQ, even if its something like:

Q: What does "headers already sent mean"

A: Link <here>, <here> and <here>. Go and read them.

And so on.

Then when someone found the answer to their problem, it would take an extra minute to add it to the FAQ. Make a sticky post in each forum with the FAQ URL and job done.

But 99% of the registered users in the Forum wouldn't bother spending one minute to do that.

A good FAQs section would be much more friendly than RTFM or that has been answered already do a search...

If the FAQ section isn't a priority for the dev team then why doesn't someone with the knowledge and skill set make their own and post it as a contrib?

Just a thought.
