Unable to connect to server

I am trying to transfer my hosting from one server to another. It appears as though all files have been transferred but we are unable to previewdns. It says unable to connect to server. Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem may be?

Anna,

 

Server Propagation can take up to 48 hrs.

 

If you are specifically having problems with osCommerce connecting to your server, then check the settings in the TWO configure.php files to ensure the database name and password are correct.

We changed the information in the 2 files this evening and now we get this

 

1146 - Table 'ournewsite.configuration' doesn't exist

 

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

We have now been able to see something on our previewdns but the site is not functioning properly. If you click on a category it says they were unable to find the page.

 

Sorry, the page you were looking for could not be found

 

There is also a warning on the main page.

 

Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist: /home/ournewsite/public_html/download/. Downloadable products will not work until this directory is valid.

 

Please help.
