pepeelputo Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 I was wondering whether it is possible to multiply amounts in the different calculations of a total price of a product ! Im trying to sell hotel nights, where the price depends on nr. of nights, persons, type of room and quality of room, Therefore the type of room needs to be multiplyed by nights and then again by nr. persons... i appreciate any comment or ideas on this.... :D
pedroabreu Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 hi im new in this, but i think it's simple, because when we chose a product we have options like "memory" and "model" this options can be modified to persons, type of room and quality of room, and then choose que quantity of nights.
pepeelputo Posted February 28, 2003 Author Posted February 28, 2003 yes ive done that too, but the thing is that the price that can be set for these other attributes of a product cant be for example :2 with a prefix of x or * for multiply, it doesnt multiplicate but substract instead, the there must be someway to add the possibility of a "x" for multiply in the code... just have no idea how....
Guest Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 In the admin side of the store in caralog/product attribute.... You put the basic room as your product and in the attributes you make attribute for nr. of night (1...2...etc) and attributes for nr. of persons(1..2...etc) HTH
pepeelputo Posted February 28, 2003 Author Posted February 28, 2003 thanks pierre, but it wont work like that as the price to be added for another better room will differ depending on how many nights and persons, also the amounts of persons needs to me multiplied with the price depending on the total amount of persons, it seems complicated but i think multiplication is the key... and the code needs to be changed somewhere... or could there be any other way?
