banner_manager.php could not be found (406 Not Acceptable)

Hi all,

 

Recently I receive an error of the banner_manager.php file.

 

When I insert a new, or edit an existing banner ads, error message shown:

 

Not Acceptable

 

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admin/banner_manager.php could not be found on this server.

 

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

 

I am sure two banner_manager.php are in right position (/admin/ and /admin/includes/languages/english)

 

I also replace them with a new file, but not solve the error.

Searching the web for the sentence "An appropriate representation of the requested resource" turned up a number of forum posts which all pointed to an Apache module called mod_security as the culprit. Perhaps best to ask your hosting provider about this.

Thanks for reply. I have communicated with web host. The error is caused by "mod_security" definitively.

The "404" is a red herring. Nothing to do with where the files are. It's complaining that it can't find your custom error document for 404.
