paypal vs sandbox

Hi,

I have been fighting for a couple of days to get the paypal (not a contribution, just the one delivered with osCommerce) payment working using the sandbox test site.

In test mode when I'd get onto the sandbox site and click on payment, then click on return to merchant site, my test user was no longer logged in, and the order stayed in the shopping cart. However in sandbox the order when thru.

I finally gave up and tried paypal in a real environnement with a product that cost 1€ and to my great pleasure, once I clicked on payment in paypal, I got automatically redirected back to my site, and the order was registered in my data base.

I thought I'd just post this in case others were having this same problem.

Have a good day

Pat

check the session or cookies settings.

you can use the PayPal IPN module without any redirection, as the order will be recorded into database and if client pay for it it also will be confirmed by PayPal IPN data.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
