ehendley
I have searched the forums and can't seem to find a related entry so forgive me if it is already here someplace. Our web site dreamdolldesigns.com offers my wife's custom barbie doll fashions and other collectibles from a dropshipper. I have been using the flat rate method set up as default by my eCommerce host site. In the dropshippers (from MO) case the default $5 ship fee is too low. In my wife's case, it is too high. I have seen articles that tie shipping costs to zones but that seems to only affect those that order any product offered depending on what zone they are ordering from. Ideally, I would like to tie a shipping cost method to a product category (or manufacturer). Perhaps another way is to offer 'discounts' to selected categories to offset the shipping cost disparity (if that is possible)? We have osCommerce 2.2 RC2 vanilla install on our host site so doubt I can do anything with add-ons and such. I can obviously modify the unique code if I need just don't know where I would need to look (last resort though). Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, ed
