Error 1366 - Incorrect decimal value during Checkout

I'm receiving the following error when I try to complete the checkout process on my clients site.

 

1366 - Incorrect decimal value: '7.8112010-04-28

insert into orders_total (orders_id, title, text, value, class, sort_order) values ('9', 'CanPar (CanPar Parcel Express - Ground):', '$7.81 CAD', '7.8112010-04-28', 'ot_shipping', '2')

 

I've tried using both credit card and delivery/invoice as payment options, as well as the two different shippers I have installed, but this error always appears. I've searched the forums, and haven't found anything that seems similar to this issue.

 

Any help would be really appreciated.

The "value" field is decimal(15,4), so it would have to be '7.811', not a date. Now the $64 question is "how did a cost and a date get jammed together like that?" And why is this information essentially duplicated with the "text" field ($7.81 CAD)? Something looks rather wrong here.

I believe some edits were made that adds the CAD in the dollar amount and when the php script converts the value "7.81 CAD" then the result is "7.8112010-04-28"

 

It is not trying to imitate a date or anything. It's just a conversion error. A value that mixes numbers and letters being converted to number only.

 

I would look to your Store Configuration wbout the currency symbols and see if someone put CAD after the amount somehow, or if the code was altered to include the CAD 'in the amount' instead of printing it 'after the amount.'

I did add CAD to the Symbol right option. I've now deleted that, but I'm still receiving the same error. This error happens on the checkout_process.php page. Although, when I log into the backend the test orders are showing up as pending. I've included my checkout_process.php below, although I don't really know if that's the page that's causing the issue.

I think the problem might be the payment module, but i`m not shore, did you tried other payment methodes?

Looks like the issue was caused by some bad parsing of Canpar's XML file. Unfortunately I don't have anything more specific as another developer here fixed the problem, and he can't recall which pages he edited. :)
