Multi store configuration

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am trying to intall multi store v2.0 to configure my store. It is installed successfully and I can create stores, admin form admin panel and can assign categories to different stores.

Now there is problem, I am not sure, how these stores can be accessed from front end. I am confused and spent a lot of time on it.

Please help...

This does not create websites automatically for you.

After installing/setting up the first website, you then copy the /catalog files to your other websites. Kinda like "cloning".

This contribution is good if you have multiple websites, but don't want to log into every single website to manage/update all orders, products, etc...

Example:

website 1 = rock-tickets.com

website 2 = classic-tickets.com

website 3 = pop-tickets.com

website 4 = blues-tickets.com

You would use only 1 database and 1 admin area to manage all of these 4 websites. Any orders on any of the 4 websites will go directly to 1 admin area and 1 database for you to manage everything.

How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck wood, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
