crxvfr
I work in a brick and mortar store where we have a web based credit card processor. People buy over the phone by giving us their credit card info and we charge via the web interface. Our current trustcommerce credit card solution quit working and I've been two weeks trying to get answers. Our sites are loosing thousands while we wait for an answer. The support is very poor and we would like to use our in-store web app to make transactions. Is there any type of contribution or OSC plugin that would enable us to do this? One that gathers the CC info so that we can process it manually with our web based service? Thanks

NodsDorf
From what I know, there are no standard modules out there that allow you to collect Credit Card information directly from Oscommerce. However, gateways allow you to enter this information in manually with virtual terminals. Due to the laws that govern e-commerce transactions when you store or collect, any credit card information you are required to follow many strict laws to protect that information. This is why Oscommerce was not designed to hold customers credit card information, it is actually encrypted and sent through the gateway to the merchant processor. This you probably already know. I have used two different gateways myself and both have allowed for direct input of this information for brick and mortar shops. PayPal Pro offers a Virtual Terminal as does Authorize.net . In some cases where the customer was not able to get their credit card accepted through our Oscommerce site we were able to use these virtual terminals to accept the user info and process the payment manually. Then we just generate an order through Oscommerce ourselves and add the payment info to the order notes. That said, your post is somewhat confusing. You said your current credit card solution isn't working. Then you said you need an interface to gather the information so you can use your credit card solution. Is that correct? crxvfr
That said, your post is somewhat confusing. We have orbital for mail orders and it is supposed to get info from trustcommerce as well. It sounds like you understood me perfectly, and it would seem I'm stuck with an intermittent problem because we want to avoid storing anything. 1062 - Duplicate entry 'postauth' for key 'unique_action' Can you tell me if this is a PHP or SQL error, why it would happen when I try to process an order, or if it would be an error caused by the trustcommerce plugin?
