katman1971
Actually, I have 2 questions: How do I centre my website for different browsers? And, is there a recommended width I should set my site and if so, how do I set the width? Thanks
♥14steve14
There are many wats to centre your store. have a look in the add ons section for centre store or something similar and you will find several. As to the width of your store, you have to remember that some people have an old CRT monitor, so keep it to about 850 - 900 pixels wide. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
chooch
I would go for a contribution like centershop: Here You can control page width length and other features from the admin, try different widths until you find what you are comfortable with. I would try and keep the width as wide as possible if using column left and column right. If I were using just one column then I would make the width shorter. Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
