crossedup
I have a little problem. When i went to update my site i added a new sub-category the link to it doesn't go anywhere but to the home page instead of the sub-product page. Www,crossedupoffroad.com is the website if you click suspension systems then it will show jeep or toyota, if you click on of those it links to the home page. What is the problem? Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike Just letting you know I looked at it and didn't come up with any great ideas. The links appear to be trying to take you to a new category, Jeep cPath=33_35 Toyata cPath=33_36 I'm a little confused about the empty category Suspension Components cPath=34 as it also just refreshes the homepage. For categories with no products it should take you to a page that says "There are No Products to Display in This Category". Maybe the problem with that page not appearing has something to do with the previous issue...
♥mdtaylorlrim
What I see is an inconsistency with the catalog root. Your store appears to load correctly into www.crossedupoffroad.com but not into www.crossedupoffroad.com/catalog when your categories do load into www.crossedupoffroad.com/category/index.php?cPath=xxx Do you have some sort of rewrite going on in an .htaccess file? crossedup
I didn't set up the initial website. It was made i think back in 2005 and i was just trying to update it and added the categories, the weird thing is that they products show up in the new products if you click them the product links work. I do not believe i have a rewrite going. The suspension components had a product in it but i deleted it because i was running into the same problem with it linking back to the home page. Look in your store root and in the catalog directory and if there is an .htaccess file in either copy them here and be sure and tell us which is which. crossedup
there was an .htaccess file here it is: # $Id: .htaccess,v 1.3 2003/06/12 10:53:20 hpdl Exp $ # # This is used with Apache WebServers # # For this to work, you must include the parameter 'Options' to # the AllowOverride configuration # # Example: # # <Directory "/usr/local/apache/htdocs"> # AllowOverride Options # </Directory> # # 'All' with also work. (This configuration is in the # apache/conf/httpd.conf file) # The following makes adjustments to the SSL protocol for Internet # Explorer browsers <IfModule mod_setenvif.c> <IfDefine SSL> SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" \ nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown \ downgrade-1.0 force-response-1.0 </IfDefine> </IfModule> # If Search Engine Friendly URLs do not work, try enabling the # following Apache configuration parameter # # AcceptPathInfo On # Fix certain PHP values # (commented out by default to prevent errors occuring on certain # servers) # #<IfModule mod_php4.c> # php_value session.use_trans_sid 0 # php_value register_globals 1 # php_value register_long_arrays On #</IfModule>
♥mdtaylorlrim
Nothing there is going to cause that. You looked in both your catalog folder and the folder one up from there? May be something in the configure.php files. Community Bootstrap Edition, Edge Avoid the most asked question. See How to Secure My Site and How do I...? ♥geoffreywalton
Mike You will notice these are the only categories with sub categories. I would think it is a problem in your menu building.
