wizardsandwars
If that's the only problem you ever have with that particular mod, you'll be lucky. I think it a great contribution, and a teriffic idea, but it needs some serious overhauling. wizardsandwars
Hi Marcel, I think htat this is a fantastic idea, but it seems to have trouble going from SSL to non SSL when using a shared server. wizardsandwars
You know, come to think of it, I had installed this at about the same time that I installed the "SID Killer", and I know for a fact that the SID killer was causeing soem logout problems. So I uninstalled both of them. Let me reinstall thin one on my testsite, (www.cyber-codes.com) and see if it still give me problems. Now that I know you are interested in perfecting the mod, I'll be sure to give you any feedback I might have. M@rcel
I know there is a problem with autologon combined with Ian's sid-killer. I want to wait for the 'final' solution to the spider-problem by Harald and then adapt autologon to this. teksigns
i have sid-killer installed with it and no problems .
M@rcel
i have sid-killer installed with it and no problems . It depends which version of Ian's sid-killer you have installed. But nevermind, the next release of the 'autologon-contribution' will be based on a osc2.2-cvs version with the new spider-killer from Harald. wizardsandwars
tecsigns, do you have a shared SSL? It seems that the problems are directly related to having a shared SSL, as I indicated. livefooduk
I have a shared SSL too and although this much needed Mod seemed to be working, I started getting lots of phone calls and emails from my customers telling me that they either couldn't log in or couldn't create an account the browser would time out with a page can not be diplayed message. Some of those who could not create an account were able to log in if I first created an account for them but others still could not log in even if I first created the account. Having said that most of my customers could create an account and log in with no problems. Also some customers were having problems logging in before I installed your mod but this usually involved nothng worse than having to log in twice. To try and fix this problem I have changed all my pages except the creckout to NONSSL pages (I can't really see the need for login and account pages to be SSL) , this has cured the login problems but I just can't get the auto login to work at all now with NONSSL pages. Is there any way I can make it so the customer stays logged in unless they click the log out button? Quote Best wishes Steve
M@rcel
Possibly: yes. But I think that privacy-sensitive info should be transferred over encrypted links and therefore I will not put any effort in trying to get things working on non-SSL links. livefooduk
That's a shame, couldn't you even give me a clue as to where to start? I have spent 6 years building up this buisness using a simple html shopping cart program (Jshop pro) and now since my new OSC store has gone live my customers are deserting me in droves  Being regular weekly customers they don't want to have to log in each time they come to buy something. M@rcel
I am very willing to help you when you're pages are back on SSL again. Quote Greetings from Marcel |Current version|Documentation|Contributions|
